On Saturday 21st November, 50 pupils and teachers travelled to Murrayfield expecting to witness Scotland putting up a brave, but unsuccessful fight. However, against all odds, the Scots managed to pull off a remarkable win, beating the Aussies 9-8 in rather dramatic fashion. The Aussies scored a late try very close to the Nairn spectators, they only needed to make the conversion to clinch the tie in the dying seconds. However, with all of Murrayfield on their feet willing the kick to miss the posts, the kick sailed wide. The Nairn pupils erupted as history had been made…..the 1st win in the last 27 years!!!
The pupils had a great day out and the Scottish win made the return leg to Nairn bearable.
Bring on Argentina!!!!!!!
